A Nursing Student's Mission
Caitlyn Nuding, a 20-year-old nursing student from Celina, took the crown with her powerful HERstory presentation on alcohol addiction. Her initiative, "H.O.P.E. - Helping Others through Peer Education on Alcohol Addiction," aims to educate and support those affected by this devastating disease. Nuding's message is clear: alcohol addiction is not a choice but a brain-altering condition that requires understanding and treatment. Her words carry weight, especially for those growing up in homes affected by addiction.
"What many people don't realize is the long-lasting impact addiction can have on families. Caitlyn's initiative shines a light on this often overlooked aspect, offering hope and a path forward," I reflect.

Alika Bridge, a 17-year-old senior at Celina High School, was crowned Miss Lake Festival's Teen 2027. Bridge's message is simple yet powerful: kindness is easy and accessible to everyone.
